Radio Broadcasting
I love radio and have been involved with a number of stations at various levels.
A few years ago I took part in a competition to win a job as a presenter on a local radio station. From almost 40 entrants, I made it into the final 5! Unfortunately I didn’t go on to win the competition but I can say I got a foot in the door which I’m taking full advantage of: I landed regular paid work in the radio industry.
Check out my audition for FM107.9’s RadioStar 2008 here.
These days, the majority of my radio work is from helping out at Radio Cherwell, an award-winning hospital service based in Oxford. I host the children’s show on Saturday mornings, live from the Children’s Wards.
In addition to broadcasting, in recent years I’ve also DJ’d a number of events: birthday parties, wedding receptions, and even summer balls!
Who knows where this will take me!
